AI is coming for your course.
Not someday.
Now.

That is not a threat.
That is already happening.
But here is what I have been thinking about.
Information was never the product.
Access to it just felt like one.
The real products were always accountability, belonging, transformation.
The things that require another human to show up.
There is a framework called the Overlap Effect.
Matt McGarry of GrowLetter laid it out simply.
Every creator business delivers value across four layers.
Content is what you teach.
Community is who you bring together.
Experience is how you show up live.
Implementation is the work you do alongside them.
Most creators pick one and stop there.
A course. A newsletter. A membership.
Clean, simple, and completely replaceable.
The Overlap Effect says: stack two or more of these layers.
That is where the value compounds.
That is where AI cannot follow.
A cohort program that pairs curriculum with live calls, peer accountability, and real coaching is not just a course with extras.
It is a different product category.
One that requires a human to run.
The success is not in the content itself.
It is in what happens between the people inside it.
That is not something a model can generate.
Businesses built on a single layer compete on price.
Businesses built on overlapping layers compete on outcomes.
The second group wins.
The marginal cost of information is approaching zero.
The marginal cost of belonging?
Still very human.
Developers building products, educators running cohorts, consultants selling strategy.
This applies to all of us.
The question is not whether AI will replace what you make.
The question is whether what you make requires you to be there.
