- My college got decent internet. That changed everything.
I was learning to code for the first time. The syntax felt like magic. HTML from high school had already hooked me, so when C, Perl, and Python showed up, I couldn’t stop myself. Every cool website I stumbled upon? I’d right-click, view source, try to decode what made it tick.
Git didn’t exist in my world yet. SourceForge was my playground. I’d download open source projects just to read through the code, line by line, wondering how someone thought of that solution.
Fast forward to 2025. Still the same person. Still asking the same questions.
- How does this work?
- What makes this better than the rest?
- Why did this catch my eye when everything else faded into the background?
This curiosity isn’t motivation. Motivation comes and goes like the monsoon. This is something else. Maybe it’s character. Maybe it’s just how I’m wired.
From typing HTML in MS Notepad to running large language models on my laptop, the fuel hasn’t changed. Technology keeps evolving, but the questions stay the same.
I’m not chasing trends. I’m following the thread. Where does this go? What happens if I pull here? What breaks? What becomes possible?
That’s what keeps me sane in a world that moves faster every year.
Curiosity doesn’t promise answers. It just makes sure you keep walking. And honestly, that’s enough.
Looking forward to whatever comes next with the same wide-eyed wonder I had seventeen years ago.
