Stop Stacking Tiny Tasks (Try This Instead)

David Allen had it right.

If something takes less than two minutes, do it now.

I’ve been practicing this rule from his Getting Things Done book, and it’s changing how I work.

Not because it makes me faster.

Because it stops tiny tasks from becoming mental clutter.

You know that nagging feeling? The “I still need to do this” weight that follows you around?

The two-minute rule clears it.

Automate that small AI task you keep postponing.

None of these are urgent. But left undone, they pile up. They sit in the back of your mind. They slow you down without you noticing.

Two minutes. That’s all it takes to remove the weight.

This isn’t about priorities. It’s about momentum.

Clear the small stuff fast. Keep your mental space for the work that actually needs you.

Your workflow feels lighter when the little things aren’t hanging around.
