Two years of thinking. Two days of doing.

I had an idea for a mindfulness app. Simple. No ads. No popups. Just calm.

For two years, I researched. I chatted with ChatGPT. Then Claude. I refined the PRD. I explored tools. I planned the approach.

Then I built it in two Sundays.

Here’s what I learned:

The gap between idea and execution isn’t technical—it’s psychological.

I thought agents and clear plans would make it take hours. It took days. Not because it was hard. Because I was gold plating.

Perfect is the enemy of shipped.

On day two, I caught myself. I stopped adding features. Started an audit instead. Found critical bugs. Removed excess. Got it to “good enough.”

Deployment on Coolify took a few hours. (New tool for me. Really cool, by the way.)

The reminder I needed:

You don’t need years. You need two days and the willingness to ship something imperfect.

Action > Idea.
Done > Perfect.
Ship > Someday.

The project you’ve been thinking about? It’s probably two Sundays away.

What’s stopping you isn’t time. It’s permission.

Give yourself permission to start.
Give yourself permission to finish.
Give yourself permission to ship.

I’ll share the app soon. For now, this is your sign to stop planning and start doing.
