# From three to one column layouts – Web design evolution

I started developing WordPress themes in 2010.

A lot changed since then.

With all the advancements, I like the hybrid themes approach—the flexibility to combine old and new features.

The 2024 WordPress theme was much better than the 2023 theme.

The 2025 WordPress theme design is promising.I am looking forward to it.

In 2010, three-column layouts were popular then.

We moved with two columns; now, one-column layouts are the trend.

I will not be surprised if three-column layouts become a thing again!
